The Best Bali Airport Transfer Service for Travelers

The Best Bali Airport Transfer Service for Travelers

Mike and I spent 3 months roaming around the beautiful island ofBali, Indonesia. Wediscovered the hidden gemsthat fill this island and we even managed to drive safely through the crazy streets on our motorbike.

But the one thing that really put a damper on our holiday was figuring out a dependable and affordable Bali airport transfer service.

The Best Bali Airport Transfer Service

The Bali airport.. or complete chaos(whatever you want to call it)is a zoo. Upon arrival, we were bombarded by taxi drivers spewing different prices at us. After 17+ hours on an airplane, this was the last thing we wanted.

A few visits to the airport later, we finally figured out the perfect Bali airport transfer service that is not onlysafe but affordableand dependable.

The Best Bali Airport Transfer Service

As I mentioned, through trial and error, Mike and I figured out how to get to and from the airport without being hassled by the throngs of deceitful taxi drivers.

If you are traveling to or from the Bali airport, I highly recommend booking a ride with GetYourGuide. Book your Bali airport transfer here:Ngurah Rai Bali Airport Private Transfer.

To use this service, you’ll indicate the date and time that you will need a ride. The driver will wait for you in the main hall just after customs. You’ll know he is your driver because he will be holding a sign with your name on it.

Be sure to scan the crowd of drivers and the signs they are holding as you enter the main hall of the Bali airport. There will be hundreds of drivers waiting, so you’ll want to make sure you spot yours.

Each time we have used this service, it was very easy to locate our driver. And I can’t express the amazing feeling of being able to hop directly into a shuttle after such a long flight. The quicker we can make it to our hotel or Airbnb, the better.

How Much Is An Airport Transfer in Bali?

The prices on an airport transfer service in Bali will vary depending onwhere you are staying. If you are staying in Ubud, the price of an airport transfer will undoubtedly be more than if you were staying in Denpasar or Seminyak.

Prices range from $15 USD(if you’re traveling from the airport to Kuta or Denpasar)to about $27 USD(if you’re traveling to Ubud). To check the prices they offer for other areas around Bali, click the link we provided above.

Bali Airport Transfer Service

We believe this is the best Bali airport transfer service because it’s so nice to know that you won’t get scammed by any of the taxi drivers. Our first time at Ngurah Rai International Airport(Bali)was a nightmare and it took a lot of haggling to get a semi-decent price for a taxi.

With this service, you’ll be paying a flat rate through a secure online checkout. The exchange of money with the driver is completely unnecessary as the transaction is done beforehand online.

如何Get A Free Transfer To Your Hotel From The Bali Airport

I’ll let you in on a little secret. There is actually a way to get a free transfer from the Bali airport to your hotel.

Okay… maybe it’s not a secret, but it sure is worth knowing about.

Tourism is the biggest source of income for the island of Bali, which means hotels and resorts are plentiful. Tocater to guests, many hotels offer a free transfer to and from the international airport.

In order to find a hotel that offers free transfer to and from the airport, go toBooking.com. Once on the homepage, type in Bali or any specific area of Bali that you’re looking to stay.

After you begin a search, scroll down on the lefthand side of the page and look forFacilities. Under facilities, you’ll find a box that saysAirport shuttle. Checkmark this box. Use the picture above for a visual explanation.

如何Get Around Bali

Once you’ve reached your hotel or Airbnb, you’re probably wondering about additional transportation around the island. How can you get to all of the amazing beaches, temples, and rice terraces from your hotel?

There are several ways to get around Bali. Here are the most common modes of transportation for travelers:

Taxis

Before we arrived, I spent hours researching transportation in Bali. My first question was, is there Uber on this island?

Is There Uber in Bali?

Although Uber is unavailable in Bali, there are several companies like it.Grab,GoJek, andBlueBird都是出租车服务,像超级运作。你can find and download the apps directly to your smartphone.

During our time in Bali, we used Grab and GoJek regularly. We found both companies very convenient, especially because they also deliver food from any restaurant in the area.

However, there are several things to know about these taxi services. In many areas around Bali, Grab, GoJek, and Bluebird Taxi are banned(this is especially true for Ubud).

How to Get Around Bali

Many locals in Bali have complained that these apps and transfer services have disrupted the local economy and put drivers out of jobs. In my opinion, I like these taxi services because they keep ride fares stable for travelers(I have been ripped off many times by Bali taxi drivers).

Regardless, many neighborhoods have banned these taxi companies, which includes in and around the airport.

Motorbike

Another option for transportation around Bali is to rent a motorbike. In almost all neighborhoods, you’ll be able to find a rental shop where you can hire a motorbike for a reasonable price.

My best advice is to talk to the management at your hotel or your Airbnb host and ask if they can rent a bike for you. The majority of hosts should be able to help you find a great deal.

Note:If you have never driven a motorbike before,I would not suggest learning in Bali. The streets are treacherous, even for experienced drivers.

Hire A Driver

If you aren’t keen on driving a motorbike, another option is to hire a driver. The best way to find a driver that will bring you around the island is through the same company we recommend for airport transfers: GetYourGuide –Bali Half-Day Customizable Tour.

We recommend booking this “tour” that allows you to customize your half-day trip around Bali. The prices are ridiculously fair; it would be difficult to find a better deal than the one they offer.

The Wrap-Up: The Best Bali Airport Transfer Service

The absolute worst way to start off your trip to Bali is to be scammed by local taxi drivers.使用这个连接给你订机场转移from the Bali airport to your hotel or Airbnb and save yourself the hassle of finding a reasonable deal when you land.

We have always had great experiences with this transfer service and we recommend it to all travelers that visit Bali.
