More Things To Do In Steamboat Springs

Nestled in the heart of the Rocky Mountains, our town of Steamboat Springs is a picturesque destination that offers a wide variety of activities and attractions to enjoy year-round. If you’re looking for more things to do while you’re in Steamboat, check out my suggestions below.

As a Steamboat local, we know exactly what activities you should experience to make this the best trip of your life:

  • Visit Strawberry Park Hot Springs– These hot springs are well-known throughout the state of Colorado for their stunning views and cozy mountain feel.

There are several pools that make up Strawberry Park Hot Springs, so bring the entire family for a warm soak after hiking or enjoy an evening with your partner under the stars.

Important Note:The hot springs are clothing optional after dark!

  • Go hiking– Steamboat Springs offers many amazing hiking trails, ranging from easy walks up Emerald mountain to challenging treks in Zirkel Wilderness.

Steamboat and its surroundings are so diverse that you can find a hiking trail for everyone. Check out our recent post about thehiking trails in Steamboat here.

  • Go tubing on the Yampa River– floating down the Yampa River in Steamboat is a quintessential summer experience. Visitors and locals flock to the Yampa River for a(typically)leisurely float while taking in the surrounding mountain views.

Locals know that stopping along the river at Sunpies for a cold beer or drink is the best way to enjoy your time on the Yampa.

Note:Please be sure to treat our river with respect and follow all floating rules.

  • Cliff jump at King Solomon Falls——我们最喜欢夏天的消遣之一King Solomon Falls, located just an hour north of Steamboat in a small mountain town called Clark.

Prepare yourself for an epic journey to the waterfall as you navigate steep trails equipped with ropes to assist you through the most challenging sections. I would not necessarily recommend this adventure for young children, but we have seen some older kids back there.
